Programs

The Omaha Children's Choir was founded in 2015 with 20 students comprising 1 choral ensemble. Now going into its third full year of operation, OCC has quadrupled its numbers and programming opportunities, expanding to cater to youth ages 3-18. Aside from regular school year programming, we offer a week-long summer music camp and an elementary choral music festival open to children throughout the metro area. For more in-depth information about each of our ensembles and other OCC programs, learn more below.

Our Choirs

The Omaha Children's Choir Urban Harmony, Voices for Unity, and Ambassadors of Change ensembles provide students with various performance opportunities around the metro area. OCC also offers an Itty Bitty Music Makers class for children ages 3-5.

City Voices Elementary Choral Festival

Coming this October, OCC is proud to present Omaha's first elementary choral festival! Tailored towards students in grades 3-6, this one day event will cultivate community, music making, and fun. Join us for our final performance at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral on October 28, 2017 at 7 pm!

Summer Music Camp

This week-long experience gives students in grades 1-8 the chance to prepare challenging choral literature and forge meaningful friendships with children from around Omaha. Students also engage in a breakout session of their choice (Orff and Kodaly-based activities, folk dancing, instrument design, and world drumming), throughout the week.
